January 1, 2007 Notice Changes Effective Immediately
 

Please be advised that the International Air Transport Association (IATA) has declared that, effective January 1, 2007, no packages will be accepted with the markings Clinical or Diagnostic Specimens.

As per the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) change (effective January 1, 2007) the marking must now state Biological substance, Category B (IATA DGR 48th Edition 3.6.2.2.2).

Action Required:
In order to meet these requirements, the marking on any packaging that states "DIAGNOSTIC SPECIMENS OR CLINICAL SPECIMENS" must be covered with a label which states:
Biological substance, Category B
